We are going to need a bigger wolf. That is the theme that runs through my head reading Brazen. Clio is a mechanic new to Cooper Valley. She is trying her hardest to make a living as a single mom. Her origin story is a sad one that is a bit too realistic in someways. An abusive ex who will do anything he wants to Clio. Clio also knows a secret that she should not know. Going in blind, she is doing the best she can to protect her son.

What I like about this series is how each of the men find their woman in odd circumstances. There is a little bit of hero riding to the rescue. Ms. Rose creates characters that make a reader root for them. I know I was constantly hoping for the best for Clio. She was dealt such a raw deal but she rose above it. She is independent and her character progression was to learn how to ask for help. Just as Sam needed to learn how adjust to wanting to change his life completely around when he met his fated mate.

I enjoyed the pace of this story, the characters, especially the adorable JT. What I also liked was the happily ever after and how Clio finally received some good fortune. This paranormal romance is recommended for readers who love fated mates and feisty female leads.

* I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
