What is this? A teaser? A taster? A new series from Carrie Ann Ryan? I definitely want to get in from the start. This short little prequel starts off with a sweet milestone birthday bash that takes off. Felicity is now legal to drink and ready for all sorts of action.
What is they say about forbidden fruit? All the tastier and more delicious. For Felicity, this is how she sees her older brother's best friend, Callum. The fact that he is an older man? BONUS!
For those who haven't read one of Ms. Ryan's romance, this is a great way to get started at the beginning. For those who have already read many of her books, the question begs . . . "How? How does she keep all these families straight? How does she keep creating this awesome families?".
I am eagerly looking forward to reading more about the Ashfords. Recommended to contemporary romance readers who enjoy seeing a family tree grow.
* I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
