Review: Dragon Sieged by Donna Grant

If you are the only one hearing voices, does that mean you are losing your mind or possibly something is trying to get a hold of you? Marcus is the one many go to for a listening ear. But when it is his turn, he is hesitant to talk with anyone. All of these male dragons are big on the stiff upper lip. When he starts hearing voices, he is hesitant to say anything to the others.

Fedra is a human who has been hiding for years. Her story is odd and poses more questions about this world, including who are the other players yet to be exposed. When it comes to complicated threads with enemies hiding behind every bush and tree, Ms. Grant consistently delivers. Just when we think we know what is going on and who all the players are, she changes them. And who could be your friend today could be your enemy tomorrow - or vice versa. It keeps the story interesting and the readers always off balance.

At the heart of this story, as with all the rest in this series, is a love story. Just when Marcus is about to give up and finds no meaning to life, Fedra shows up. She is the catalyst to bring purpose back in. Just as Marcus entering into her sphere "awakens" her. I enjoyed the set up. The plots are variation of the other dragon kings fated mate stories so this feels comfortable and easy to follow. What I liked about this story is Marcus and his boy scout type attitude.

As we learn more about the dragon origin story, I am going to say that I am starting to think that perhaps the Star People who have given their view of how the dragons came to be may not be true. I am eager to see how this all ends.

Recommended to paranormal romance readers who enjoy happily ever afters.
