When an author's previous romances are bound into a collection, it brings me fond memories of Nora Roberts with her earlier books combined into luscious sets. To read Katee Robert's stories in a collection is delicious too. Both the stories are sweet and easy to read. Accidental pregnancy? Grumpy boss? Time to hunker down on a snowy day and read with a cup of hot chocolate.
Becka's situation is a woman determined to take control of her life by making absolute decisions. Never get married . . . never trust a relationship. And what do you know? The universe laughed and threw Aaron at her complete with smexy times and an oopsie. The whirl wind that occurs for Becka is amusing and in some ways, heartwarming. I felt more for Aaron than Becka. Becka does come across as high maintenance and ridden with so much baggage.
Then we flip over to Aaron's awesome sister, Trish. Now this is a character I can get behind and support. I love her spunkiness and her ability to make things happen. Her interactions with Cameron were hilarious. Cameron I get. He's the type of techie I have worked with for the past decades. He isn't mean but he just doesn't care about all the niceties. Trish is a great pairing for him. I really enjoyed their romance together.
This is recommended to romance loves who enjoy grump men and the women who bring light to the room.
