Yet another teaser, this novella is part of a larger book collection called Alpha Queen. Each taste of the Green Mountain pack entices me to binge-read all the books in this series.
From what I can tell, this series is full of angst and bad things happening to innocent shifters who just want to be left alone. This short story features a meeting between the leaders and it quickly goes haywire. This is a tightly written scene that packs a punch.
The worldbuilding is dark and the tone is ominous. It doesn't look good for our shifters in this world where humans seem to only hate. Actually, the humans depicted in this book are not too far from how society is now, so this isn't too far-fetched. This short story is recommended to paranormal readers who like conflicts between humans and "other".
