Review: Waiting on a Witch by Lauren Connolly

The last sibling to find her mate, and he was there in front of her. Mor is from a family of witches. Lately, they are known as witches who break curses on humans locked in a non human form. Mor is following this new tradition with a frozen monster in her garden.

This incredible statue in the garden Mor and her sister purchased is not like the others. That one statue out of the many sculptures intrigues her and makes her think it is a shifter locked away. Her suspicions proven right, she releases Bo from his captivity. Not sure where this would go, let's say it was not expected.

I cried for Bo. He was a naive love fool who was kicked down, unloved, neglected, and marginalized. He could have become a terrible bully. Instead he stayed sweet in nature and tries to do the right thing. Even if the people around him do the easy and wrong thing. Fortunately, Mor is the one who saves him and shows him a whole new world.

I love how this story is more about Bo coming to terms with the raw deal he received and how he continues to be the gentle giant. This could have been a long drawn out story trying to figure out how to break the curse. Instead we see a beautiful journey Bo goes through as he comes back to the town he hates. He learns who are friends and who are not. This paranormal romance is highly recommended to readers who love character growth themes.
